Serious question because I have no idea...

Serious question: does anyone get the stylistic reference of the above OFF LINE GC shot? I mean, I imagine the overlap in the below diagram is way smaller than I could ever hope, but I'm asking out of genuine interest... How many of you all grew up immersed in diy hardcore or adjacent music scenes/subcultures? 

Also, you may not recognize our good pal making his final approach towards the 18th green (and clubhouse), but can you name that spot? It's one the many things I love about golf... we can't go shoot hoops at The Forum in LA, but we can at least shell out the big bucks to sometimes play where the legends of the game became legendary.
